How convenient, indeed, if the leaders simply convince all the underlings that they are strictly unable to do or say anything contrary to the will of God. But the fact that our scriptures have a procedure for removing the President of the Church is sufficient for me to conclude that NO ONE is above reproach and NO ONE is exempt from being held accountable.
